Club History
The Genesis
Founded by Kunle Soname as FC Dender, laying the foundation for what would become a powerhouse in Nigerian football. The vision was clear from day one: to build a sustainable football institution.
Rising the Ranks
After rebranding to Remo Stars Football Club and relocating to Remoland, the club achieved promotion to the Nigeria National League (NNL), marking their arrival in professional tier football.
A New Home
The club opened the 5,000-capacity Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne. The stadium boasts a hybrid synthetic pitch that later received FIFA Quality Certification—the first of its kind in Nigeria.
NPFL Champions
History was made. Under the tactical guidance of Coach Daniel Ogunmodede, Remo Stars lifted their first-ever Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title, bringing the championship back to the South-West.
The Leadership
Kunle Soname
A pioneer in private football club ownership in Nigeria, Kunle Soname founded the club in 2004. He views the club not as a vanity project, but as a structured business with long-term KPIs. His commitment to youth football is a deliberate strategy to provide opportunities for young people, utilizing sports as a proactive measure against societal issues.
Daniel Ogunmodede
The tactical architect behind the club's recent successes and the historic NPFL title. Coach Ogunmodede is the mastermind of the "Sugar Concept," ensuring that the team plays a fearless, integrated style that perfectly bridges the gap between the academy prospects and the senior squad.
